NZU update

NZUs last moved through Carbon Match at $53.00 flat, but demand on screen remains thin as buyers work through the implications of various potential ETS amendments, floated by the Climate Change Commission in their draft Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP) advice last week.

That advice will not be finalised until the end of December and even then, there would be much more water to flow under the bridge. But any changes to the structure of the ETS give cause for concern to NZU holders, in a market that has already been weighed down by uncertainty.
