The Overseas Investment (Forestry) Amendment Bill aims to ensure that overseas investments that result in the conversion of farm land or other land to forestry benefits NZ. The bill has now had its second reading. The Finance and Expenditure Committee discussed and deliberated over the bill, reviewing 25 submissions alongside.
