Tomorrow, June 11, the Treasury will release indicative estimates of the potential fiscal costs that could be associated with purchases of offshore mitigation towards New Zealand’s Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement.
These estimates are being published to support transparency over possible future costs. They are based on scenarios only and do not reflect any Government decisions or intentions regarding offshore mitigation.
