Late last year, the Government
rushed law changes through Parliament to weaken the 2050 methane target, and de-link the carbon market from the country’s Paris commitments. In December, Finance Minister Nicola Willis
ruled out paying other countries to reduce emissions, seen as a breach of the Paris climate deal.
On Wednesday, Watts told Newsroom the National Party is “very committed” to climate action.
