Q4 auction results

The final Government NZU (Q4) auction for the 2021 calendar year took place today and results have just been released.

With the Cost Containment Reserve fully exhausted in the Q3 auction, and not replenished until 2022, just 4.75m NZUs were up for grabs today. 

As per previous auctions, interest was high and that volume was snapped up at a clearing price of $68.00. NZUs bid for at auction totalled 9,210,900 across all participants (cf 18.6m bid for in Q3, 10.8m in Q2, 11.6m in Q1).

18 out of 26 participants were successful in attaining some volume cf previous auctions which were 30/40 in Q1, 16/37 in Q2 and 31/43 in Q3.
